LET’S CONVENE ON 1/19!
Republicans, regardless of what the media is saying, it has been confirmed that the “executive” decision to move the GOP primary to the 7th of February is in NO WAY final. The party as a whole now has a chance to fix this terrible mistake and get things back on track.
Citizen Outreach has launched an online petition to help get this thing rolling in the right direction. I’m also posting the Alert that was sent out via e-mail earlier this evening.

Hi all,
Today we sent the following letter to Senator Dennis Nolan and all Nevada media outlets. If you have not yet contacted the Senator please do so now. His contact information can be found here.
Thanks!

Dear Senator Nolan,
The Nevada Blogosphere took note of your disparaging remark in the Las Vegas Review Journal concerning your stated opinion that Cyberspace Bloggers are irrelevant. The full context of your quote was as follows:
“I don’t think any legislator is too worried about what cyberspace bloggers are doing.”
In the last election, bloggers had a significant impact on getting Ron Knecht and Joe Enge elected locally here in Carson City. Is it your hope that bloggers are irrelevant because you don’t wish to deal with that segment of the populace or are you simply out of touch with one of today’s primary modes of conducting commerce and influencing opinions worldwide? There is a cross-section of today’s politicians who earnestly hope that the everyman publisher will be ignored because they depend on the top-down dissemination of doctrine for their power in the conventional political pyramid.
Bloggers are the base of activism in Nevada and nationwide. We are a phenomenon that will not go away and will in fact, revolutionize elections. Bloggers reach into every home and office with a computer and are in fact, given more credibility than print media because we tell it like it is and expose the truth without the media spin.
By taking a dig at bloggers, you are making it significantly harder for Republicans to regroup and win the hearts and minds of the American public. Instead of taking a conservative stance which is the basis of our party, you look toward raising taxes and belittling those who have given the most in the way of time, funds and resources to the NV GOP.
Welcome to the blogging revolution Senator; blogs are here to stay and are, even now, more prominent than print media. In ten years, all media will be online primarily and your elected seat will depend on the reviews and support you get from bloggers. The blogosphere took down John Kerry, Dan Rather and most recently the AP. Exposing the hidden agendas of politicians will be an overriding priority for bloggers who are unafraid of taking on the ‘big boys and girls’ of the print media and elected office.
The following Nevada bloggers request that you apologize for your untimely remark and instead concentrate on working with our continuing efforts to revive the Nevada GOP and the conservative movement in Nevada:

Good… God… please… have… mercy… on… us!
I’ve now been rebuking Nevada Republican “leaders” for two years over their COMPLETE lack of ability to compete with the Democrats in grassroots, internet activism. Has anyone listened?
I’ll let the screen shots speak for themselves.

Notice how they have a smiling team that looks like a winning football program in a post game press conference?
Now let’s see what the Republicans are up to.
Nevada Republican Assembly Caucus

Confident this “team” will help us win some elections moving forward? Didn’t think so.
Also, why did they hire a company that can’t even pay its hosting bill?
Good grief. This is INSANE!
Reno, NV – In October of 2007 thousands of Conservatives looking to organize and network on a scale that has yet to be seen will meet in Reno, Nevada for the first annual Conservative Leadership Conference ( www.clc07.com ).
Invited speakers include Newt Gingrich, Michelle Malkin, Hugh Hewitt and Morton Blackwell just to name a few. Grover Norquist, founder of Americans for Tax Reform ( www.atr.org ) in DC, has signed his organization on as a co-sponsor of the event. Presidential hopefuls will be given an opportunity to speak in front of extensive traditional and new media coverage.
As dissatisfaction within the Conservative ranks begins to reach record levels, the timing of the largest event of its kind in the West couldn’t be better. With Nevada being a key swing state, the location is ideal as well. Continue Reading
It’s Friday so I decided to post something different. This dude takes a car across icy snow and completely thrashes it. But it looks SO MUCH FUN!!!
Have a great weekend!
Before I go into some inside news that will confirm a HUGE rumor that Homestead.com is FINALLY going to start supporting php apps, I must make a confession.
Digg Community Slams Homestead Servers and Crashes Mine
A few months ago Homestead CEO Justin Kitch posted something that I personally took offense to. The title of the post on his blog was “Maybe you should fire that customer“. The reason this struck a personal note with me is that just a few days earlier I was kind of told this by a customer service agent working in the call center. I’m sure it was just bad timing and I landed on a line that went to a rep in a bad mood, but that day I was sent in circles and was made to feel as if I WAS WRONG in every thing I suggested. The agent/s couldn’t help me and pretty much wrote me off as some irate idiot who was talking nonsense.
I wrote about it and it hit Digg’s front page. I was instantly pounded with tens of thousands of visits that completely knocked my site offline for a good 20 minutes. In turn, the Digg community posted a link directly to the CEO blog at Homestead and they were instantly hammered with traffic as well. Continue Reading
