Illinois bloggers
I FINALLY have my blogs set up and ready to rock. It’s only taken me… what? Five weeks? ![]()
Anyway, for those of you who stumble across the blog (I know it’s new, so I don’t see more than 150 unique visits on an average day) and know who I am, I figured I would give you the links.
I’ll start with my own. First, there is the main site Fresh Vision Media. I haven’t really found my “beat” for the main page yet. I’m still feeling it all out, but I think I’ll eventually make it a web2.0/social media/blogging/new school mash up. Right now it’s all over the map as I try to help it find its groove. That being said, the homepage is growing in traffic and I finally got all of the code errors out so the search engines should now be a bit more happier about crawling the pages.
The second blog is the one you’re reading now. It’s my personal blog and over the next few months I’ll be mashing this blog up with all of my past posts on my other blogs. The long term goal is to make this my own little private place to opine on life and things I find interesting.
The third blog is Fresh Tips Daily. FTD is a blog that starting in January will be the home of my daily blogging tips posts. I’ve been meaning to put this blog together for some time now, but I’ve just now gotten the time to go through with it.
For those of you who do not know, I’ve been working “behind the scenes” in the center-right blogosphere for about five years now. I’ve built blog hosting sites, Wordpress blogger communities, worked with bloggers to help establish state based alliances, and I’ve taught at blogging seminars across three states.
But for some reason I never really settled down and worked on building my own personal blog network. I’m not one who usually likes to be in the lime light, and my writing is terrible, so until now I’ve just been a coder and a geek who likes to help others understand it all.
Times are a changin’!
The fourth blog is SE Tattler. SE Tattler is a blog dedicated to following Google, MSN, Yahoo, other search engines, and random industry and marketing news.
And finally, while it isn’t really a blog, I also have a new state specific blog directory in place. It’s free to submit your blog and there is no link back required. My only request is that you’re active, non-liberal, and you post on state based topics from time to time.
So, if you haven’t yet done so… please submit your blog for approval.
And now for the link love. The following is a list of Illinois based bloggers that I have added to my feeds list. Hopefully I’ll eventually get to know all of the bloggers in this state and we can work together for the common cause. If you’re one of these bloggers and we haven’t met, please drop me a line or leave a comment.
-Mike Van Winkle
-Backyard Conservative
-Extreme Wisdom
-MoveOn and Shut Up (This link is certainly the odd ball of the bunch that I’m posting, but for some reason i find myself fascinated with the blog and they it is written. It’s very different and twistedly entertaining)
-Illinois Review
-One Man’s Thoughts
-Tom Roeser
-Stix
-IlGOPnet
Of course, there are plenty other non-political blogs that I subscribe to, such as CTA Tattler, but those aren’t really relevant to what I’m after here.
Last but not least, if you have a facebook or LinkedIn account, please feel free to add me in to your network.
