Phil Hughes of the NY Yankees now blogs at Wordpress.com?

Phil Hughes, pitcher for the New York Yankees, recently started a Wordpress.com blog. His blog is kind of cool because it shows more personal side to Hughes compared to what you would get with the media or the Yankees PR machine.
Hughes has yet to edit his about page, so you won’t find much there, but he has a handful of posts up with topics ranging from ideas on what to on over the weekend to spending time with family over the holidays.
I wish more people of his status level would join the rest of us in the blogosphere. It’s pleasant to know we’re all one big community and people like Hughes feel they need to be a part of it.
Oh… and yes… I’m still a Cubs fan.
