Laura Ingraham grilled New Gingrich about his pathetic endorsement for the wrong candidate in the New York 23 race. I think Gingrich actually handled it well, but his problem is that he clearly doesn’t get it. How can a guy who claimed to fully support the Tea Party Movement and everything it stood for completely miss the message that came with it?

Watch this video to listen to the clip.

Newt seems to be stating that he supports more of the same in order to get real change. The more he preaches this message, the more he distances himself from the true liberty movement.

In my opinion, of course.

Obviously, Newt is putting party before principles, which is exactly what we’re all tired of. I hope people don’t fall for what he’s saying. I’m sorry, but I don’t feel that we should sit around and worry about whether a true conservative candidate splits the vote of the Republican party. Once we start doing that, we’re no better than those politicians we want to throw out.

  2. Newt and the gang are just as clueless as the Dems. I hesitate to use the adnauseum phrase “business as usual” but the Republican elites (the likes of which blow off Sarah Palin) think they can never be taken down. They too have become so corrupt and powerful they think no one can touch them. Let’s show them we want them a strong 3rd party is not out of the question. Maybe they’ll shape up. If not, bring it on, third party!

Newt is a born republican, loyal to the party no matter what… like a consumer /company-man loyal to a buick /enron. Newt may become a born again conservative when the party ends.
