Shoemoney voted for Bush?
And apparently a lot of his readers did as well. Check out the comments section on this post.
It’s good to know that a lot of the internet marketing/tech community is quite “non-partisan” politically. Most of the comments on Shoemoney’s post run along the lines of “well, both parties look pretty bad”.
Maybe we’re not in as bad a position as I thought.
Yesterday I posted a little tidbit about the apparent Blogrush scam that is currently causing a lot of chatter across the sphere. At the time of the post I didn’t realize how big the scam had become, but after looking a little deeper… I’ve been enlightened.
Earlier this evening I found a blistering post claiming that Blogrush is ran by idiots. After reading that post I stumbled on to this post about the Blogrush scam. Then, I found a September post at Mashable which begged the question, “BlogRush: Traffic Generator or Pyramid Scheme?”
Need more? Try these.
I say goodbye to BlogRush
BlogRush: 8 Reasons to Be Wary…and Optimistic
Obviously I’m a little late on this story, but it’s still quite disgusting to watch it all unfold. Like I said in my first post on this, I felt the whole deal sounded crappy from the start.
John Reese, a man who made a million bucks from selling a thousand DVD’s that explained how to make a million bucks must have thought to himself “huh, this new media thing looks nice and shiny. I want it!”
Basically, Reese created an instant buzz with a state of the art widget that promised the world, yet came through with nothing. Some are claiming Reese used the widget to gain mass backlinks and free e-real estate for his affiliate links.
Either way… it’s turning out to be nothing more than a failure.
So is BlogRush worth installing on your blog? Not at all.
This earmark dreck keeps getting worse.
From the Sunlight Foundation:
A source on the Hill emails about the just released conference report for Defense Appropriations, saying that it “contains a massive number of earmarks – 2,049 to be exact.” I’m going to round the figures somewhat (they were calculated on the fly) but total cost of the earmarks is $4.9 billion. Included are 24 new earmarks costing about $59 million that were “airdropped” into the conference report. “These earmarks were considered by neither the House nor the Senate and were immaculately conceived in the conference report,” he says.

Remember the cry of the Democrats during the 2006 elections regarding Republican spending? For the record, I believe Republicans DO spend like crazy, but are Democrats any better? In 2006, they made a promise they would clean up the spending mess we’re currently in.
Take a look at this gem. The “Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007” is supposed to prohibit Congress adding earmarks in to conference reports. Yet, if you look at the pending Labor/Health & Human Services bill you’ll find some interesting items.

For a bill that us supposed to improve healthcare and help the children, I can’t for the life of me figure out why we would send $1,000,000 to the Thomas Daschle Center for Public Service and Representative Democracy.
Just sayin’…
Fresh Vision Media was founded with a vision to to infiltrate the internet, specifically the libertarian realm, and work to promote free market/limited-government ideology.
To do this, we seek to construct blog networks, new media communities, and libertarian minded grassroots “e-organizations” that can mobilize and promote the libertarian message of a free and prosperous America.
Yasser Dabha over at No One’s Listening had me chuckling earlier. He posted a sarcastic letter about the Firefox vs. Internet Explorer happenings at the work place.

OK, according to my statistics, there are still a ton of visitors to my site that are using Internet Explorer. Why that is I cannot for the life of me understand. Some of you might have a good reason, and if so, please let me know what that reason is.
But if there are Internet Explorer users visiting this site that are only using Internet Explorer because it’s what you already have, it’s what you’re used to, and you don’t know there are other options, this post is for you. Continue Reading
I felt it fitting to post pictures of the newly released Digg Case Mod since as of the time of writing this I have received 3,000+ visits from Digg for the day.
My question is… where’s the order form?

HUGE hat top to the creator, Computer Choppers.
