Chris Hackett for Congress
Rep. Chris Carney (D-Pa.), a pork loving liberal from Pennsylvania, has a pretty hefty challenge coming from Chris hackett, a conservative in the race for Congress.
Not only is Chris Hackett a solid candidate on his own, he also has some huge endorsements coming in from the liberty action realm as well as the blogosphere. RedState earlier endorsed Hackett for Congress, and now Club for Growth has followed suit.
“With his business background and his pro-growth campaign platform, Chris Hackett has demonstrated an intuitive understanding of the importance of limited-government, free-market policies in advancing economic growth,” said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey said in a statement.
Typically I don’t get excited about Republicans, but in this case I’m looking forward to seeing the outcome. Also, see the video below for Hackett’s latest ad on Carney.

Well, not really. Actually, not at all.
A little over a year ago:
1. Consumer confidence stood at a 5-year high;
2. Regular gasoline averaged under $2.30 a gallon;
3. The unemployment rate was down to 4.4%.
4. Americans were enjoying historically-high home equity.
Since voting in a Democrat Congress in 2006 we have seen:
1. Consumer confidence plummet;
2. The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.25 a gallon;
3. Unemployment rise to 4.8% (a 9% increase);
4. American home equity hit the lowest point in six decades;
